Pastor Stanley Moore was a minister of the gospel for over 35 years, serving as a Pastor for churches in Arkansas, Georgia, Michigan, and Iowa. He last pastored at Progressive Baptist Church in Davenport, IA for 17 years until his untimely death in March 2022. Pastor Moore's accomplishments were numerous:
- An Honorary Doctor of Divinity
- A Master of Divinity
- A Master of Industrial Technology
- Worked over 40 years as a certified industrial, electrical, and mechanical engineer
- Licensed over 35 ministers of the gospel
- Served as the President of the Quad Cities Pastor Conference
- Was the Moderator, 1st Vice Moderator, and 2nd Vice Moderator for Wood River Baptist Association
- He was the Scholarship Commissioner and Recording Secretary of the Baptist General State Convention of Illinois
- Was an accomplished singer that traveled with his family singing group, the "True Gospel Wimics"

It Was An Abnormal Sunday...
Everything seemed surreal as Pastor Stanley Moore entered the sanctuary with the processional.
