Trauma REBOOT Recovery is for everyone who has ever suffered trauma. Our rule of thumb is simple:
"If you think you have suffered trauma, you probably have."
People from all walks of life experience trauma. No one is exempt or immune from experiencing trauma. Trauma REBOOT helps you to face and get through your trauma(s). Below are pictures of our three courses.
As January arrived and the winter dredged on, we at REBOOT Recovery of the Quad Cities were not deterred from our task of trauma healing. We began our course at what is now the 'old' Quad Cities Veterans Outreach Course on Locust St. in Davenport, likely one of the last organizations that held meetings there.
We occupied our new space in April at the New QC Veterans Outreach Center on N. Fairmount in Davenport. We were the first fully functional organization at the center, finishing three classes and graduation there before the center officially opened.
Our Graduation Keynote Speaker was Rev. Dwight Ford, Executive Director of Project NOW and Senior Pastor of Grace City Church, both in Rock Island, IL. Rev. Ford holds the distinction of being our first veteran, combat veteran (Desert Storm), and Marine Graduation Speaker. Rev Ford reminded us that,
"Putting your mind to it is not enough for trauma healing. It also takes your heart and soul."

We held our Second or Fall Trauma REBOOT course from September to December 2023. This class also had members from outside the Quad Cities Area, and we noticed a trend: 50 percent of the participants were veterans. Our participants came from all walks of life and were determined to regain their lives from trauma.
Our Graduation Keynote Speaker, Dr. Richard Whiteker, CEO of Vere French, spoke on the topic, "We All Have Stuff." Dr. Whitaker's comments were very appropriate because regardless of who you are, sometimes we all have stuff.

Transitioning to Trauma REBOOT proved the right decision for REBOOT Recovery of the Quad Cities. Participants from throughout the Quad Cities and beyond attended this history-making course. Held at the Quad Cities Veterans Outreach Center on Locust St in Davenport, each Wednesday was filled with healing, regardless of whether class members were ill, on vacation, or there was disastrous weather. Google Meet and Zoom were our means of keeping the classes going!
Our first Graduation Keynote Speaker was Dr. Kit Ford, Founder and Executive Director of Argrow's House of Hope and Healing. Dr. Kit shared her journey of recovery as a sexual assault survivor and aptly related to the class participants.
Ms. Kelly Miller joined our leadership team from this class and has been a great asset ever since.
