It’s Right Around the Corner: The Quad Cities Black Authors Forum 2025

Some things just keep getting better.

It’s just around the corner. Join us for our fourth annual Quad Cities Black Authors Forum. The QC Black Authors Collective and Polyrhythms Jazz and Heritage Festival sponsor the forum and book fair. This year showcases many new authors, or at least authors who have not previously attended. The events are FREE on Friday night, with the book fair on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Both events are located at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center in Rock Island, IL.

Envision, if you will, a room full of dedicated, creative, and published Black authors who represent all genres of writing. Fiction and nonfiction stories covering several categories. Prepare to hear about romance novels, religious nonfiction, Black history, leadership and management, war and peace, and sports. Other categories include biographies, poetry, business, living history, children’s books, and many, many more. Also, learn about the road less traveled by some people but extensively explored by many of our authors.

Discover what it takes to write, edit, publish, and promote books, and the motivation behind this vocation. Meet, greet, and develop relationships with new friends, and reconnect with old acquaintances. We look forward to filling your library by purchasing some of the best works in the Quad Cities.
