Learning Some Hidden History

“Every veteran has a story that contributes to our military history.”

The recently released movie, ‘Warfare, had a caveat: ‘Everything is Based on Memory.’ Most true military stories, such as American Sniper, We Were Soldiers, and Hacksaw Ridge, are based on personal memory. Only if reports were made, could some things can be verified from the National Archives. Other verification came from other Soldiers through a compilation of interviews.

Regardless of whose story it is, many of these stories are never told. If you have a veteran loved one who has never told their story, they might accept reading someone else’s from the same war. And you might also learn something about their trials and tribulations.
